Living in remote Australia and working in regional and international development policy has given Lisa an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of rural and remote places, and the opportunities and challenges presented by regional tourism.
As well as the sustainable development of the great outdoors, Lisa has a passion for adventure sports which is evident in her many years of experience mountain biking, trail running, endurance horse riding and travelling in regional Australia and remote areas abroad.
Before joining TRC, Lisa has worked extensively on regional capacity building projects in SE Asia, the Pacific Islands and Australia. In these roles, she managed stakeholder engagement activities and built meaningful relationships with local partners, all levels of government and the private sector. Lisa’s professional background also includes significant experience in communications, policy and grants development and research. With further qualifications in education and training, she is known for her ability to communicate with stakeholders and share her experiences and knowledge with others.
Lisa has a Masters in Policy, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma in Education.
