Project Description
Maraetaha Estate is a family-owned property and homestead, located 20 kilometres south of Gisborne in Muriwai, with rich history dating back more than 120 years.
The family aspired to develop the stunning and picturesque grounds of the estate into a purpose-built wedding venue, complete with established rose gardens, and outdoor settings within expansive views of open skies, surrounding hills, established oaks and a one-hundred-year-old large walnut tree.
TRC generated a feasibility study and business plan for developing Maraetaha Estate into an established, year-round event and conference venue that hosts a range of accommodation onsite, with additional experience offerings available for guests.
This included detailed analysis of constraints and opportunities at the site, identification of target markets and potential product and experience options, and next steps for development and implementation.
