Throughout her career, Allison has delivered strategic research, industry and business development projects for business and government. She has a PhD in urban design and tourism and a passion for building experiences that connect people, place and culture.

Allison is a published author and an adjunct at the University of Tasmania and has developed and delivered Tourism Planning, Destination Management and Marketing Research subjects in the Masters of Sustainable Tourism Management program at CQ University. She built and led the Research and Insights team at Tourism Tasmania, developing and communicating complex insights to the tourism industry, and leading major tourism marketing and research programs.

As a Strategic Planner in Far North Queensland, Allison drafted planning schemes, conducted social impact assessments and assisted tourism operators in business planning. She is Chair of the Northern Tasmania Development Corporation, Deputy Chair of East Coast Tasmania Tourism, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
