Project Description
TRC Tourism was engaged by the Goulburn Regional Tourism Partnership (a collaboration between Mitchell Shire, Strathbogie Shire and Greater Shepparton City Councils and the State Government) to develop the Goulburn Region Destination Management Plan. This plan, aims to strengthen the regional visitor economy by integrating sustainable tourism practices. The focus is on balancing economic growth with environmental, social, and cultural considerations. Utilising their extensive experience in Victoria, the team leveraged insights from the region’s rising tourism trends and stakeholder relationships, including with Traditional Owners, to create a forward-thinking and inclusive plan. This plan will guide the region’s strategic direction, align with existing strategies, and adapt to changing tourism landscapes and market needs in the future. It will build on the work already underway in the region and capitalise on its strengths.
