Larrakia Cultural Centre

Project Description

The Larrakia Cultural Centre (LCC) is an exciting project being led by the Larrakia Development Corporation (LDC) for ALL Larrakia. It is a place where Larrakia people, culture, language and stories will be celebrated and kept safe for future generations. To be built adjacent to a Larrakia sacred site at Stokes Hill overlooking the Darwin Harbour, the Larrakia Cultural Centre (LCC) will provide a cultural, tourism and hospitality experience.

Through Tourism NT Aboriginal Tourism Grant funding, TRC was contracted to work with the Larrakia Development Corporation and Larrakia Traditional Owners on product development and trade distribution for tourism products to be offered at the Centre.

The Tourism Product Development and Trade Distribution Action Plan provides a pathway for Larrakia families and the LDC to ensure tourism products are ready to successfully launch as soon as the Larrakia Cultural Centre doors open.
