Project Description
TRC was engaged to undertake the development of a Business Case outlining the potential of creating a mountain biking product near Croydon. This followed the development of a Concept Plan for Mountain Bike Trails in the region in 2017 by World Trail.
In developing the Business Case, TRC undertook a comprehensive review of the proposal including looking at markets, planning alignment, visitors, spending and the economic costs and benefits. TRC found the proposal had merit based on the information researched and the assumptions used. Combined with the existing tourism offer in Croydon, the proposal would help not only bring additional people to Croydon, but also keep visitors longer, and provide long term economic and social benefits.
