Project Description
TRC was engaged to develop Destination Management Plans for the four Tasmanian Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs). TRC worked alongside Tourism Tasmania and the RTOs to develop a new approach to destination planning where experiences are curated by the stakeholders, enduring memories are created for travellers, and the value of tourism is shared amongst both. By working on all four DMPs, TRC was able to clearly differentiate each region whist being economical and effective in the approach. The plans looked at Covid-19 recovery and the new normal with a focus on domestic tourism in the short term and building for the return of international travel. The Plans were developed to support a thriving, innovative, connected and inclusive Tasmanian tourism industry.
