Project Description
The primary objective of the Victor Harbor MTB Strategy was to develop a Strategy, Action Plan, Business Cases and Concept Plans to guide and encourage the collaborative planning, development and activation of a network of trails identified throughout the Victor Harbor area.
Existing issues such as limited number of purpose-built single track trails, use of undesignated and informal trails, absence of a connected trails network close to Victor Harbor, balancing the needs of a growing residential population and visitors and clear designation of responsibilities for establishing and maintaining a high quality trail network, all needed to be addressed to move forward.
Following extensive community consultation, the recommendations made by TRC Tourism were strategic, prioritised, staged, realistic, evidence-based and costed to attract investment, justify funding and enable action for these trails to support the region in becoming a trails destination of choice.
