Project Description
Unity Water was seeking a Concept Plan for a recreational experience at Yandina Creek wetlands with a component that could ideally be operational in time for an official opening on World Wetland Day 2020.
TRC had recently visited the Yandina Creek Wetlands area as part of other work and had formed some initial ideas around possibilities for the site, such as walking tracks, boardwalks, bird hides and the overall visitor experience.
TRC recommended the development occur in three stages culminating in a 2.5 km interpretive loop walk through the wetland including floating pontoons for relaxing and bird watching, boardwalks and track head facilities on River Road.
