Project Description
TRC (in partnership with EarthCheck and Inspiring Place) reviewed the tourism infrastructure in the Northern Tasmania region and developed recommendations on ways to enable public and private infrastructure development to support the goals of Tourism 21 and lead to economic and social returns to the community. Recommendations were made on core transport and telecommunications needs and game-changing infrastructure projects to attract markets and improve visitor experiences were identified. For each project an assessment was made of the direct and indirect economic impact on the region and indicative development costs provided.
