Project Description
TRC Tourism brought a wealth of experience in community-focused planning and nature-based tourism to the Cann Valley Walking Tracks Masterplan project. Drawing on our expertise in creating resilient, sustainable tourism strategies, we worked closely with the Cann Valley District Representative Group (CVDRG) and stakeholders like Parks Victoria to address challenges such as the impacts of bushfires, flooding, and infrastructure gaps.
By integrating community input and best practices, TRC delivered a masterplan that prioritised track upgrades, such as the Lyrebird Nature Walk and Cann-Noorinbee Track, and introduced practical strategies for wayfinding, marketing, and environmental sustainability. Our “Concentric Circles” approach extended visitor stays by connecting Cann Valley to regional attractions within a days travel, fostering economic growth and community well-being.
With actionable recommendations for phased investment and strategic partnerships, the masterplan positions Cann Valley as a hub for day and short stay nature-based tourism, celebrating its unique landscapes and resilient spirit.
