Project Description

TRC Tourism was engaged to produce a graphically-designed brochure to support the highly anticipated 42 kilometre Bay of Fires Mountain Bike Trail – from Tasmania’s Blue Tier at Poimena to the Bay of Fires – being designated as an International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) Epic.

The IMBA designates select trails around the world as IMBA Epics. Being endorsed as Epic by IMBA would enable the Bay of Fires Mountain Bike Trail to join a select group of 53 mountain biking destinations across the globe.

Within the brochure, Break O’Day Council wanted to express the importance of rides like this, along with their belief in bike parks and neighbourhood singletrack being important for community wellbeing and economic prosperity. The trail, combined with the series of stacked loops near the St Helens township, would endeavour to transform the area into a mountain bike and adventure hub.

TRC Tourism outlined the critical government funding for trail improvements which needed to be secured to reach the goal of IMBA Epic status.
