Project Description
This report follows on from specific findings in the Outer Eastern Regional Mountain Bike Strategy prepared by TRC for Yarra Ranges Shire Council in 2020 that had identified a a significant number of gaps and opportunities in the region.
These gaps included inconsistency in the standard of trails, lack of green-skill level trails and ride features that would service the critical pathways of growth in mountain biking for beginners, families, leisure tourism and education markets.
TRC were engaged to focus on the gaps in provision of bike parks and trails in the Yarra Ranges Shire Council area. This included assessment of existing formal and informal bike parks and new potential sites for bike parks and trails.
