Project Description

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) required the professional services of a contractor with expertise in tourism, research and recreation management planning to undertake a review of visitor management issues, current and predicted over the next 10 years, for Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

Through extensive fact finding and knowledge building, TRC undertook a comprehensive review. Building on work already undertaken internally by NPWS, the review presented considerations and recommendations for future visitor management, which will inform development of the new Plan of Management and subsequent Visitor Management Plan and create a platform to capitalise on investment opportunities that emerge from the NSW Government’s relaunched 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy.
