Project Description
Wunambal Gaambera Country covers approximately 2.5 million hectares of mainland, islands and sea and lies on the northern coast of the Wanjina Wunggurr Community in the far north Kimberley. The Ngauwudu Visitor / Road zone lies within this area.
Wunambal Gaambera Traditional Owners were keen to grow and enhance visitation to the region and further develop tourism products and services to enable them to proudly live, work and share country and culture with visitors.
TRC was engaged on this project to identify how the Wunambal Gaambera Traditional Owners could work together with stakeholders to improve the visitor experience at Ngauwudu (Mitchell Plateau). Delivery of this project would also contribute towards the continued implementation of the Uunguu Visitor Management Plan.
