Project Description
TRC Tourism prepared an Implementation Plan to provide guidance to Noosa Council for the development of the Noosa Biosphere Trails Network. The Noosa Trail Network features a collection of main routes totalling approximately 120 kilometres located in the hinterland region of Noosa Shire.
In conjunction with the Implementation Plan, TRC’s partner TRC Trails undertook an audit of the trail network to recommend maintenance and upgrade works. During the audit process the trails were reviewed for quality and consistency of the experience. This analysis revealed that continuity is the main issue affecting the trail user’s experience on the trail network.
The Implementation Plan prioritises the necessary works to resolve these issues and presents a five-year program for trail maintenance.
