Project Description
Yarra Ranges Shire Council required an update of the previously completed Warburton Mountain Bike Destination Economic Assessment to reflect the recent events surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and their potential impact on economic modelling.
In addition to having worked extensively on economic impact assessments in the Yarra Ranges and Australia, TRC and MCa completed the original assessment in March 2018 and proposed the same team to update the inputs and models.
The output of this report was a rigorous and achievable assessment which will help inform not only the projects economic benefits and costs, but the benefits by sector in the regional economy. The report covered the economic essentials including: Regional spending increases, Jobs generated by sectors including direct and indirect jobs and during the construction and operations phases of the destination, Regional income generated, and Benefit Cost Ratios.
