Call for Papers
We are now seeking abstracts for papers for consideration at main conference sessions and for masterclass sessions. Presentations will be 20 or 30 minutes long and need to address innovative and sustainable approaches across the themes of the conference.
Abstracts are to be submitted by email to donna@trctourism.com to be received no later than 3rd March 2021.
Abstracts must
- Be no longer than 500 words
- Identify the theme you believe the topic best relates to
- contain a brief summary of the content areas of your proposed topic
- be accompanied by a bio-note (max 150 words) and photograph of the speaker (s) showing their expertise and/or knowledge in the subject area
- have a clear and concise title that conveys a clear message
Submitted abstracts will be assessed against the following criteria
- alignment with one of the key themes
- applied learning experiences applicable to trail planning and management
- clear key learnings and outcomes for delegates (eg from case studies)
- New, innovative and sustainable concepts
All presenters will be required to cover their own registration fees, accommodation and travel costs. Presenters will be offered a discounted registration fee.
To enable delegates to interact with presenters we encourage speakers to attend the entire conference.

The Sustainable Trails Conference provided an excellent opportunity to share best practice across a variety of topics from trail building to governance. Each session was valuable in its own right. Great to see the collaboration between our two countries as we all strive to make the most of this growing community.
