Why Dwellingup?

Nestled just over an hour from Perth CBD, Dwellingup has transformed from a charming former timber mill town into a dynamic and thriving adventure tourism town, with a particular focus on trails.  Known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, Dwellingup offers over 100 kilometres of sanctioned MTB trails and is a key point along the renowned Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi Trail, making Dwellingup the town “where trails meet”.

Recent investments have led to the development of the Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre, featuring cutting-edge visitor technology, a themed café, and ample facilities for relaxation and recreation.

In April this year, Dwellingup was rewarded with official “Trail Town” status, for its well-developed trails, natural assets, services and infrastructure, cafes, shops accommodation, and for its supportive community.

Are you a trails professional who is wild at heart?

Then don’t miss out on the 2025 Sustainable Trails Conference. Register your interest now!

What did past attendees think?

The Sustainable Trails Conference provided an excellent opportunity to share best practice across a variety of topics from trail building to governance. Each session was valuable in its own right. Great to see the collaboration between our two countries as we all strive to make the most of this growing community.

A well run and organised conference, excellent speakers who certainly provided a range of information in the topics presented. Took away some key learnings.

Mick Tucker | Mayor, Break O'Day Council

A fantastic conference. Great speaker line-up with leaders in the field. Learned a lot and made new connections.

Francesca Governali | Conservation & Tourism Fellow | Dartmouth College

The Sustainable Trails Conference provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the importance of trails to local economies and tourism, the amount of work going on in this space, and to share and learn from others working in the field.
