TRC Tourism is welcoming Expressions of Interest (EOI) from destinations that would like to host the 2025 Sustainable Trails Conference.
Hosting a Sustainable Trails Conference provides an opportunity to attract business investment, tourists and increase economic impact into your local economy. With greater involvement, interaction and engagement, hosting our conference is a unique and rewarding way to showcase your LGA.
Considerations for what makes an exceptional destination for the Sustainable Trails Conference.
- Be an upcoming or existing trail destination
- Be within two hours’ drive of a major airport
- Offer a casual style conference venue able to host up to 100 plus delegates
- Have ample accommodation within 10kms of the main conference venue
- Adequate bike hire (up to 70 bikes) either within the region or able to be transported to the region for MTB and cycle field trips (can be provided by more than one company)
- Offer alternative venues for social function events within a 40km radius
- Provide local on ground support during the conference organisation
- Be committed to giving back to its community and the trail sector and
- Be able to showcase unique field trip experiences within an hour of the conference centre for delegates to learn about recreation trails management and the associated tourism offerings that are in the area.
