WORLD TRAIL

World Trail is an Australian company specialising in the design and construction of mountain biking (MTB) trails, walking trails, asphalt pump tracks and skill parks.

The company was founded in 2003 by Directors Glen Jacobs and Dylan Jeffries. At that time, it was the only firm specialising in MTB design and construction. Over nearly twenty years of operation, World Trail has laid the foundations for the dynamic trail building industry that exists today. World Trail have designed hundreds of trails around Australia and across the world. 

 World Trail key achievements:

  • Designed and built Derby and St Helens trail networks;
  • Designed and built every UCI MTB World Cup or World Championship course in Australia;
  • Director Glen Jacobs inducted into MTB Hall of Fame in Marin, California, USA in 2015 and Cycling Australia Hall of Fame in 2018;
  • Detonate and Kumma Gutza at Derby voted best trails in 2017 and 2019 Enduro World Series;
  • Australia’s first Asphalt Pump Track designed and built in Cairns, QLD.

BREAK O’DAY COUNCIL

The Break O’Day municipality extends 3809 square kilometres along the East Coast of Tasmania from Eddystone Point (larapuna) and Mt William National Park in the north to Denison River in the south and west to the eastern portion of the Fingal Valley.

Our region includes a diverse range of scenery and townships from the arty and creative hub of St Marys, historic townships like Fingal, Mathinna and Weldborough to the coastal towns and hamlets such as Falmouth, Scamander, Beaumaris, Binalong Bay and St Helens – the Game Fishing capital of Tasmania.

St Helens is the main Township and service hub of the area and the largest town on the north east coast of Tasmania.

MACKAY REGIONAL COUNCIL

Mackay Regional Council is proud to sponsor the Sustainable Trails Conference. Mackay Regional Council is based in Far North Queensland and is developing a world-class mountain bike park in the picturesque Pioneer Valley. The park will comprise of a trailhead and a 100km network of single-direction mountain bike trails that navigate through Australia’s longest stretch of lush subtropical rainforest, Eungella National Park to Crediton State Forest. When fully operational the mountain bike park is estimated to generate an additional 31,000 annual visitors, $18.1M in visitor spending and more than 110 full-time equivalent jobs. Construction of stage 1, the Finch Hatton trailhead site and 16 trails is expected to commence and be completed by next year, with the remaining trails to follow.
