A critical part of destination management planning is engaging with partners, stakeholders and communities and a good plan requires collaboration around a shared vision. Last week NZ based consultants Kylie Ruwhiu-Karawana and Tracy Johnston spent time in Wellington to start engagement on the wider Wellington regional DMP. This started with a workshop attended by regional partners and agencies to frame up the shared vision and challenges and opportunities that will both support and align with the sub-regional plans. The post it notes capture a powerful foundation for this work that will unfold in the coming months.

TRC Tourism has released a range of new services to support RTOs, EDAs, iwi, hapū and marae, Councils, DOC, the private sector, communities and interest groups to implement initiatives identified within regional Destination Management Plans (DMP).
