TRC Director Janet Mackay said: “TRC’s work assisted in gaining the funding for the Derby tracks, prioritising investment and measuring the benefits of trails. The region has worked really hard and growth has exceeded all projections and they are now reaping the rewards. It is very gratifying to see our work contributing to tangible results and the community enjoying the benefits of that.”
TRC have worked on a number of different high profile cycling trail and downhill mountain biking projects across Australia. Planning trails that accommodate both walkers and cyclists is an important part of the TRC cycling strategy.
