A Privilege to Support Tonga’s Tourism Future

Last week, TRC Tourism’s Managing Director, Kylie Ruwhiu-Karawana, had the privilege of delivering a Sustainable Tourism and Operator Development workshop in Tongatapu, Tonga. It was an incredible opportunity to contribute to the Tonga Tourism Forum, where the nation is shaping its Roadmap for the next five years.

Tonga is deeply committed to sustainable and resilient tourism development, ensuring that its unique culture, environment, and communities remain at the heart of its industry. It was fantastic to be part of these important discussions and to see the collective vision taking shape.

A true highlight was the honour of having HRH Princess Salote Pilolevu Tuita attend the Forum for both days. Her Royal Highness’s dedication and engagement reaffirm the immense potential of Tonga’s tourism sector, encouraging collaboration and investment to create a thriving, resilient industry.
