Balanggarra Country covers over 2.5 million hectares across the north-east Kimberley region, rich with local culture intertwined with spectacular natural values found nowhere else. In 2021, Balanggarra Aboriginal Corporation took over management of iconic visitor attraction – Home Valley Station. TRC Tourism are excited to be working with the Balanggarra Aboriginal Corporation and Traditional Owners to explore new opportunities and culturally appropriate visitor management. Together we will assess existing and potential visitor experiences, which will be followed by an on Country Tourism Forum with the local tourism industry and partners. The result will be a Balanggarra Country Tourism Action Plan to support Balanggarra people and partners with a future tourism direction.
