Several TRC consultants are on site visits this week including Trails Specialist Chris Halstead and Lisa Cheeseman who are currently in Victoria taking a look around the Outer Eastern Region to understand the context for the development of the regional mountain bike strategy. The aim of the strategy is to develop a long-term strategy that will boost the economic, environmental and social benefits of recreation related to MTB through collaborative planning, development and activation of opportunities throughout the Outer Eastern Region. The visit is an informal start of the project to assist the project team gain an understanding of the current infrastructure, access, facilities, services and linked experiences, products and attractions in the region. Formal consultation for the project will commence in the new year when work on the strategy will commence.
